Today will be a day full of adventure! We gonna explore Fraser Island in a 4WD bus.
They picked us up at the gas station and off we go to the ferry! We drove to the beach through the water and onto the ferry ready for some action. The ferry was very small and it looked like it existed more out of cars then ferry. The wind was quite strong. It was not the nicest weather for a trip like this but we didn’t care! We were super happy that we had the change to see this island.
We drove from the ferry directly on the beach. Took a street to the left because it was still high tyde. We drove through the bush, on sandy roads. It was a cool experience when we came out of the forrest and drove down on the beach again with an wide open view and the sea roaring right next to us! It was such an epic feeling.
We had some morning tea and coffee in the resort with some delicious treats and then we hit the road again to Lake Mackenzie. It’s the most beautiful lake with crystal blue water! Unfortunately it pored out rain when we arrived. We all got soaked and cold. My parents jumped in the lake for a swim, like some more people on the bus. But I had to go back to safe my camera from the rain. The last ten minutes of our time at the lake I ran back to the lake and took some photos with my GoPro. The rain stopped and it gave me a better opportunity to capture it and to enjoy this beautiful place.
After that we went to the Central Station and walked around in the rain forrest. It was absolutely stunning! Little waters running through it, beautiful green plants and trees. We enjoyed this little walk more then we thought before we started.
Everyone got hungry so we headed back to the resort for some lunch buffet. There was plenty to choose from! Our belly’s were satisfied. During the afternoon program we visited an old ship wreck. It lays on the beach and it’s massive. For some it might be just dirt but for me it was a piece of art! Truly beautiful how it lays in the sand with the ocean as a background.
We headed further to some orange rocks and after that we had a break to swim in a creek and take some photos on the beach! We just got very lucky that the weather changed from morning rain to sunny afternoon! It was just a lovely and great day.
